Contractors/Service Providers

From time to time, the Network works with a range of service providers.  The Network has  compiled a list of these providers as a resource for its members.

Equipment Library

The Network also has equipment which can be made available to members when undertaking Landcare activities. Contact our staff to check availability and arrange pickup if you need the following:
  • Direct seeder - this unit attaches to a tractor and is used for broadcasting of native plant seeds on broad-acre areas
  • Native plant seed - the YYLN seed collection and seed-bank has not been active for some time.  However, there may be some seed still viable - just contact our Landcare Office for more information.
  • Seed sieving unit - used for sieving quantities of seed. Allows separation of seed from twigs, leaves, etc
  • Hamilton tree planters - suitable for making holes when planting tube stock
  • Smoke Machine - suitable for smoking rabbit burrows
  • Catering Equipment - 50l urn, cups, tables
  • Landcare banners - floor standing banners for indoor use only
  • Digital Projector and Screen - available for qualified operators at your next "show and tell"
  • Bollards - T-top style safety bollards
  • Vests - high visibility vests (yellow)
  • Gate Signs - Landcare gate signs indicating your group area are available to members
  • Tree Guards - bamboo stakes and plastic tree guards.

Fire-wise Learning Hub

​The Fire Wise Learning Hub was launched in June 2025 - the result of a project developed by community for community.  This learning hub has been created by Bas Coast Landcare Network in collaboration with the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife, supported financially by the Australian Government's 'Preparing Australian Communities' program.  The Learning Hub is a portal for those interested in fire-wise practices, and offers:
  • engagement in conversations around bushfire and bushfire safety
  • assistance with finding existing resources, information and services that relate to Fire Wise pillars and concepts, and 
  • access to resources from a single searchable online website.

Climate Smart Farming

Farmers for Climate Action have collated and organised a Climate Smart Farming Toolkit to support farmers. The Toolkit contains useful resources and information to help farmers maintain their knowledge on climate-related challenges, build on work farmers are already doing, or get started on implementing Climate Smart farming practices. Climate Smart farming is not just about emissions accounting and reduction, but can also build wider ecological resilience, improve soils, and increase productivity.
