Feb 2008 – Oct 2008 2008 Improving Land Health in the Jack & Albert Rivers (JARR) Catchment –YYLN Salinity Project 10km fencing for wildlife corridors, 22,500 tube-stock planted, 40ha perennial pastures established, EM31 mapping over 450ha across 12 project sites. Funding source: DSE – New Generation Landcare (NGL) Oct 2008 - 2009 Rabbits, Foxes, Boxthorn & Gorse Program Integrated Landcare Program (ILP) 50 ha Boxthorn & Gorse removed, 5,000 tube-stock planted, 5 ha rabbit warrens deep ripped. Funding source: Better Catchments Better Farming / Second Generation Landcare 2008 - 2013 800 km roadside weeds & rabbits treated and followed up. Funding source: WSC / DPI - 2008-2013 2009 - 2010 10 ha wildlife corridor protected & revegetated Hancock Victoria Plantations. Funding source: WWF 2009 - 2013 Gippsland Coastal Plains Gorse Control Program (GCPGCP) – Yarram Landcare Leading the Way Gorse control / community extension program targeting approx. 2000 ha of Gorse infestations across Port Albert, Alberton & Yarram areas. Funding source: DPI / Victorian Gorse Taskforce (VGT) 2009 - 2014 Corner Inlet Connections (CIC) – JARR 1. JARR Blackberry Suppression / Erosion Control Program (CFOC/WGCMA) 2. Saltmarsh Protection Project (CFOC/WGCMA) 3. Flood Support Program – YYLN Saltmarsh 2009 - 2010 255.92 ha Blackberry treated & mapped, 10,000 tube-stock planted. Funding source: CFOC/WGCMA 2010 - 2012 3500 ha Blackberry treated & mapped, 10 ha gullies protected, 4 km fencing, 10,000 tube-stock planted. 250 ha saltmarsh protected, 8 km fencing, 7,000 tube-stock planted. Two JARR community workshops. 2013 – 2014 Richmond Football Club Landcare Grant Engage local students in a JARR activity through the establishment of wildlife corridors at Yarram Secondary College.
