Re-vegetating with Indigenous Plants

When re-vegetating or adding to existing vegetation the planting of indigenous plants should be given full consideration because;

• indigenous plants are adapted to the local conditions and hence your plantings have a better chance of success
• grown in their native area indigenous plants are more healthy and less prone to disease and hence longevity is ensured
• the plants will self propagate as the conditions are right for propagation
• the plants are unlikely to become weeds
