What do we do?

We offer a service to all landholders to assist in maintaining a healthy and viable property.

Some examples of assistance are

  • Organise on site field days to inform landholders about current practices and technologies
  • Coordinate field trials to determine better land management practices
  • Apply for grants to assist in costs of proposed works
  • Organise proposed works to be undertaken

This assistance applies in areas such as
            Weed and pest animal control
Soil - monitoring and maintaining healthy soils
Shelter belts and indigenous plantings - what, where and how to plant
            Land erosion and salinity control
            Land Management Practices
            Enhance water quality
Assist in grant applications for approved works
Protect, enhance and/or connect biodiversity throughout the region

Field Workshop
Seed Bank

We have an extensive seed bank of plants indigenous to our area (over 100 species). These include trees, understorey shrubs and grasses. These seeds are available to anyone interested in undertaking direct seeding or raising seedlings for later planting. We also have a tractor driven direct seeder which can be made available to landholders. We can advise on how, where and what in relation to direct seeding or tree planting generally. Refer to our Seed Bank Listing or Contact our office for further details.
