SUPPORTING LANDCARERS

The West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (WGCMA) supports Landcare across the region. This support is wide-ranging, and includes the provision of the Landcare Group Handbook (in hard copy and digital form), the organisation of regular Regional Landcare Forums (RLFs), and making available a Employee Assistance Program for Landcare Staff and Board members who are supervising Landcare staff.
LANDCARE GROUP HANDBOOKThe Landcare Group Handbook is a resource for all Landcarers but has a special focus on contact officers, Network Boards and Committees, and members who want to help out with organising projects, meetings and events. The manual ensures that obligations are met, fairness and due process are followed, problems are minimised and groups and committees function well. But it can be time-consuming and challenging for volunteers. Included in this governance manual are editable forms, so you don't have to do all the hard work!

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMEnsuring the wellness of our Landcare community is very important to us. The West Gippsland CMA has engaged Acacia to provide a support service to the Landcare community, particularly (but not limited to) staff and Board members managing staff.
