Hope in Action
(25 July 2026)

25 July was a jam-packed day for YYLN, kicking off with a tree planting session along the Great Southern Rail Trail - thank you to all our amazing volunteers who kept going despite the weather!!
The evening kicked off at the more cozy Regent with guest speakers inspiring us with their journeys and wisdom - on the power of one and doing it anyway whether it is perfect or not.   The evening continued with music from Jamie and Ryan - thank you to everyone for such a positive experience!!

Action in the Nursery

There is SO much going on at the Nursery right now.  Electricity and new linings - the place has had a real makeover.  Thank you to Wellington Shire Council for contributing via a Community Grant!  More comfort for our amazing volunteers who continue to grow more plants to protect our local biodiversity!

Farm Drought Support Grants

Picture
The Farm Drought Support Grants (formerly On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Grants) program is available to assist primary production businesses to implement on-farm infrastructure improvements and undertake essential business activities that improve drought. Eligible farmers will receive up to $5,000 (ex-GST) as a co-contribution grant that will support activities including water infrastructure upgrades (such as pipes, tanks, troughs and dams), stock containment areas, and grain and fodder storage. New eligible activities have been added to the program, including water carting and pasture re-establishment in recognition of the broad pressures farmers are managing. See the program guidelines for the full list of eligible activities.
